About Us
Polar-X Play was born from real life—messy, magical, everyday moments with children.
I’m a mum of two energetic boys, and while running a family day care in Melbourne, I saw firsthand how differently children play, learn, and regulate. Some children would dive straight into imaginative worlds, while others needed support to slow down, focus, or feel calm and safe in their environment.
To help, I started creating small, hands-on play scenes using playdough—tiny worlds where children could explore, build, and engage at their own pace. Something incredible happened.
Children who struggled to focus became deeply engaged.
Children who felt overwhelmed became calmer.
And every child, in their own way, found a sense of connection through play.
These moments sparked something bigger.
I realised there was a need for a simple, thoughtful way to support children’s development through play—not just for creativity, but for emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing too.
That’s how Polar-X Play began.
